Weekly Dose of TLC

Your Weekly Dose of TLC (01/14/25)

Hi friends! Thank YOU for coming back to join me for your Weekly Dose of TLC!

As always, I will be focusing on 3 good things for the week in this single post – everything Teacher-Life-Coach is all about:

T: The teacher in me…
L: Life hacks, good finds, and general fun
C: Motivation and inspiration

So, with that, let’s get started with this week’s Dose of TLC!

T – The Write Stuff, Week 2

If you were here for last week’s Weekly Dose of TLC, it was the start of a journaling mini-series for the month of January. Check out the post here in case you missed it:

Each week during the month of January, I will share a list of prompts here – think about them, write them in your journal, write them in your phone (whatever works best for you). You can even use my free download (below) for jotting down ideas.

Click on the link for your prompts and writing page. Do them in order, mix them up, but just have fun!

L – Let’s Eat

One of my goals this year is to try one new recipe each week. Another goal this year is to become more organized with my meal planning so that I am not making daily trips to the grocery store after work. And the best way for me to stay organized is to see my ideas written down, so my weekly meal planner is helping to meet both goals at once.

So, if you’re anything like me, looking to streamline your meals for the week and eliminate the ‘what’s for dinner’ question each day, this planner might become your new best friend. Print it out and stick it directly onto the refrigerator. Done and done!

C – Little Joys

Let’s finish out our weekly TLC talking about those little joys in our lives.

Winter can a tough time for many. In many places the days are short, the skies are often gray, the cold keeps us inside, and it’s not always easy to keep a more positive mindset.

Knowing this, we have to make a more conscious effort to identify the bright spots in each day – the things that fill our cups, the tiny celebrations, the little joys.

For example: I like to take my outside walks after work each day, but sometimes it’s hard to get motivated to be in the cold. Plus, I used to truly dislike cloudy days and snow because I am a sunshine, summer-loving person by nature. But, I decided to embrace the backdrop of these winter days and take pictures on my walks. These photos are admittedly beautiful and they actually bring comfort when I look at them, because I am seeing my hometown with fresh eyes.

So maybe try this next time you find yourself in a day, season, or year that feels cold and gray. Take a moment from each day and flip your mindset – find the light, the little joys.

Sending you warm vibes…
