New Month, New Goals, New Focus

Hey friends! First, let me start by saying that I simply LOVE the month of June. It is quite honestly my favorite month of the year. Yes, part of it is because the school year is winding down, and I have a little time to refresh and renew. But also, to me, June always signifies the start of three glorious months filled with possibilities and bucket lists, starry nights and sunny days. It simply makes me feel like a kid again.

Okay, now that I have put that out there, let’s talk about using the new month for a chance to set some new goals and have a new focus. If you read my previous post (yikes – almost a month ago), I talked about habits – creating good ones to overshadow bad ones – and tracking those habits.

I saw down last night and took a look at my habit tracker for May. I did so, so. I drank my water for the most part (except for the weekends), I found my calm with meditation, but I did NOT channel my inner sleeping yogi with a more consistent yoga practice. So. What does that all mean? Well, it means I have a new tracker with a new focus for June.

When I thought about what 3 goals I wanted to put on there, I went about it like this: I was keeping the water because I was ‘this’ close to meeting that goal. I was keeping the yoga because I didn’t meet that goal at all, and I’m determined to do so. I changed out the meditation (since I met that goal and it’s now a healthy habit) and added practicing daily gratitude through journaling. Since June is also my birthday month, I want to take the time to focus on all the good that surrounds me.

To get this going I created a 30 Thankful Thoughts calendar with journaling prompts, a new habit tracker, and a place to write about my gratitude. Below is my set-up ready to go for today (Day 1).

I have included a few free downloads for you here. There is a blank habit tracker (for you to add your own goals), the 30 Thankful Thoughts writing prompts page, and a blank gratitude journaling page.

Welcome to June, my friends! Make it a great month!
