Self-Care

Three Good Things

Hey friends! I don’t know about the weather where you are but here it is gray, damp, and chilly. You know, one of those days that is good for a nap. It is also one of those days that can put some (or most) people in a little funk – especially if you’re a sunshine-loving summer person (like me).

It’s easy to feel a little down on days like this…and that can sometimes be the open door to a spiral staircase of nagging thoughts and emotions. I have two words for that: No. Good.

So, what do we do on days like to this to foster and preserve a little self-care? We dig through the mud. We seek out the good. We create our own sunshine.

We are going to focus on the good things about our day. They can be anything – little things, big things, being able to actually enjoy a cup of hot tea while it was still hot (woohoo)! As I have said before, your focus goes where your energy flows. If you are only seeing the blahs of the day, your energy will equal that. If you are taking time to notice the little victories, you will (I bet) feel renewed.

Three. That’s your magic number for today. Just three. Can you do more? You bet! Can you do less? Ehh…I’m going to pull the teacher card in me and tell you to “go back and check your work again” on that one.

And with that, I present to you Day 28:
