A little fun fact about me: I love Shakespeare. While doing my undergraduate work, I majored in English AND Elementary Education, and whereas I wasn’t reading Shakespeare in my children’s lit classes, I was reading it in all the others. So, I still find myself quoting or referencing his works whenever the occasion arises.
Now, I know it’s not technically ‘midsummer,’ considering the season only officially began like 3 (plus) weeks ago, but…since I work on a school calendar as a teacher, I consider summer June – August, and so this would be close to the mid-point.
With all that being said, I thought it would be a good time to check in, do a little reflection, set new intentions…you know, all that good stuff. Just as Wednesdays are a good check-in for the week, this is a great opportunity for us to do it on a bigger scale, a seasonal scale if you will.
Honestly, let’s first think about why it’s good to check in and reflect. Well, it’s always beneficial for us to take the time and make the effort to refocus. It’s how we grow and develop. So in keeping with the breezy feeling of the season, let’s make it light and simple with these five questions:
