Hello, and welcome to Part 3 of my Creating Balance Series! We have already tackled the ‘what’ and ‘how’ of creating balance, so today we will look at that all-important ‘why.’

Before we start, let’s take a moment and break down what balance can look like because it is different for each of us.
The dictionary definition of balance is this: an even distribution of weight enabling someone or something to remain upright and steady. Upright and steady…not toppling over…allowing the space to shift in order to keep that even distribution. Out goes the word perfect. Gone is the word rigid. They don’t work with the definition of balance.
Now…knowing this, why should we create balance in our lives? Well, let’s take a different approach to answering this question. Let’s peek at what our lives MIGHT be like if we DON’T create some. (I think this will paint a verrrryyyyy clear picture of the importance balance plays in our day-to-day.)
Without balance…
- We feel stressed, mentally and physically. This stress leads to inflammation in the body and wreaks havoc on our health and immune systems. Yuck.
- We experience negative thoughts and emotions more often. It becomes hard to see the good or feel the good.
- Our mental and physical health is compromised – headaches, difficulty sleeping, constant fatigue, poor concentration…oh my!
- We develop unhealthy habits, and while this may look different for each person you know what’s healthy and unhealthy in your life.
- Comparison and envy creeps in, and comparison is the thief of joy. No. Thank. You.
Whew! What a bad vibe list that was, right?! That is why it is so important to create balance in your life whenever and wherever you can. (If you missed some easy suggestions for doing this, check out my Part 2 post.)
Create your balance. Welcome in the good. Enjoy all that is waiting for you – improved health and well-being, better relationships, more energy, more confidence, positivity, and feelings of happiness/fulfillment.
Sending you good vibes!
