Say hello to my latest “just one more chapter” book.
I set out Friday evening to read a few minutes each night, and here we are two days and 374 pages later.
Seriously, though…set in Italy (with some Brooklyn thrown in for good measure), an aqua Vespa (my DREAM), an interestingly close-knit Italian family, a story of growth, and Italian food – lots of Italian food…it was the perfect recipe (and my Italian roots know some really good ones).
Oh, and let’s not forget the wisdoms of the unique and totally lovable Aunt Poppy who gives coins to people “for luck” and tells them “go spread your sunshine in this world.”
If you’re looking for a mental getaway, this is it.
