To the Dump!

Okay, friends. Show of hands… How many of y’all have A LOT on your mind? Mmmhmm. That’s what I thought. Today, then is for you.

Now, have you ever spilled your purse contents out onto the table and thought, “Where did all of that come from?” Or…have you ever taken EVERYTHING out of a closet so that you could put it all back in, hopefully more organized? Yes and yes. Well, your brain needs that too.

We don’t often think about it, but the amount of clutter we carry in our thoughts could fill a bag or two or three. That’s why it is super important, and healthy, to do a little “brain dump” here and there.

Over thinking. Negative thoughts. Worries. To-do lists. Regrets. Fears. Musts. Should haves. Could haves. Procrastinations. The list goes on and on…and guess what? Every single one of those things takes up space in your head. Yuck, right? I mean with all of that swirling around up there, who has room for the good thoughts?

Well, today we are going to free up some of that beautiful brain space so you have room; room for happy thoughts, room for peace, room for serenity. We are going to do a brain dump.

“How?” you may ask. It’s quite simple. Find a piece of paper, find a quiet spot, and write down all the nagging thoughts in your mind. Dump it. Let it ALL out. Then – here’s the best part – crumble that paper up and toss it right into the garbage. Literally dump it.

Now, embrace the space and fill it with all good things.
