Sweet Dreams

This one. This one right here is one I have a particularly hard time doing. I always try to squeeze out just ONE. MORE. THING. in my day…and as a result, I stay up much later than I should. Who’s with me on this? Anyone? Anyone?

Sleep. Ahh, just the word alone sounds so sweet. Yet, why do we often skimp on this extremely important part of our self-care? Science shows that it’s the most important of the three pillars of a healthy life. So, why do we (as adults) often act like children being made to take a nap? Is it our never-ending list of responsibilities and things to do?

Guess what. That list can wait until the morning.

Guess what else. Some things, no make that MOST things, are simply that much better/easier/not as frustrating when you sleep on it.

So…here’s to some sweet dreams, my friends. Go to bed earlier tonight. I didn’t give a set time for this one because I realize everybody’s sleep schedule is different. But, even 15 or 20 minutes earlier can make a world of difference. Your brain, your body, and your to-do list will thank you for it in the morning.
