Self-Care, This & That, Uncategorized

“To everything…there is a season.”

There is nothing quite as enchanting as the start of a new season. It’s a time for renewal and a reminder that just as our seasons change, so can we.

We always tend to set our intentions for the year on December 31st, but in reality how many of us can plan an entire year ahead? Mmmhmm…exactly. So, what if we set our intentions with the changing of the seasons? Imagine having FOUR chances to change, renew, and refocus.

So, let’s talk about this new season. The refreshing approach of autumn brings with it glorious colors and yummy flavors. It’s the perfect time to set some new intentions.

What if…this fall we set some (or all) of these into action:

Practice more self-compassion and less self-judgement. We need to speak to ourselves the way we speak to those we love.

Foster more self-care and less guilt. Self-care is NOT selfish, and we can’t serve from an empty vessel. Enough said.

Feel more gratitude, less comparison. Gratitude turns what we have into enough – the little things, big things, and everything in between. Comparison is the thief of joy. This is pretty much self-explanatory.

Embrace courage, eliminate doubts. Literally LIVE OUT LOUD.

Choose more happiness, less worry. We have the choice. Every day we wake up, we have the choice to be happy. Worry only takes us away from the present moment, and too often we worry about things we really can’t control.

Let go of the need to prove yourself to others. This one is BIG. Wayyyy too often we put the value of our self-worth in the hands of those who just can’t seem to lift us higher. Our tribes/people/shining stars – the ones who truly love us – accept us AS IS! Period, exclamation point.

And my favorite… Lean into what is right for you. Let me repeat – RIGHT FOR YOU. THIS is where we become our best selves. This is where we truly shine.

Hopefully this gives you some inspiration as we welcome the new season. Shine on, embrace the change, become the best version of YOU.

Happy Fall, y’all!
