If you are here, then you are probably ready for the next step of our SEL journey about self-awareness. I have compiled a list of ten picture books that can be used to address or teach this particular competency. These are great discussion starters and, even though they are picture books, they can be used with older kids – TRUST ME, they love picture books just as much.
Since self-awareness touches on a variety of topics such as emotions, mindset, and self-esteem, there is something here for everyone. Oh, and if you haven’t read any books by Peter Reynolds (the author of Happy Dreamer), you are seriously missing out!
