Journaling. It is quite possibly one of the most therapeutic activities out there. And the best part? Anyone can do it. Yep, anyone. However, getting started is often a struggle for many and it really doesn’t have to be.
Let me start, then, by saying that when it comes to journaling, imperfect is perfect. I’m going to say it louder for those in the back – IMPERFECT IS PERFECT! Don’t worry about your handwriting. Don’t worry about your spelling. Don’t even worry about your grammar – yes, I just said that (and for those who know me, you know that is HUGE).
Your journaling practice is for YOU. Your journal is your safe space. Your journal is a place where you can be free. This is a chance for you to heal, to become whole, and to learn to love yourself. As you write, trust in the process. Be all in, and be okay exactly where you are. Accept your feelings and your fears, but also use this time to acknowledge your strengths and your victories.
So, you may ask: What do I write about? Do you have goal? Write it down. Do you have an unspoken want or need? Write it down. Do you just need to get lost in your thoughts? Write about them, too. Journals are perfect for inspiring creativity, encouraging self-reflection, relieving stress, and fostering that oh-so-important self-care.
Now, this is where I am here to help. I am going to help you on your journaling journey with some weekly suggestions. Pick up that paper and pen – or a fun, new journal – and get “write” to it. See what I did there?

If you would like a printable version, here you go!
Happy writing!
