Finding Your Light Part 2: Getting There

It’s summer and the time for sunshine and light. We feel a little more free and a little less confined whether it’s our physical surroundings or our thoughts. So, how do we keep this feeling every day of the year? Find your spark, find your light.

In part 1 of this series, we briefly looked at what this all means but maybe a little inspiration is needed to get there. So, let’s take a closer look on how to find our spark.

Let it be simple.

Maybe it’s drinking a glass of water with lemon in a fancy glass or your favorite water bottle (it’s a good reason to buy a cool new one!).
Maybe it’s reading a good book while sitting in your favorite spot (I happen to prefer the grass or the beach while soaking up in the sunshine).
Maybe it’s writing, and there is a blank journal just waiting to be filled.
Maybe it’s dancing, and you like your music loud!
You can have more than one thing that you love, and three words of advice for this: DO THEM ALL!

Follow your bliss.

It’s okay to change your mind. Be on the lookout for new things to love. All that matters is that you take the time to do the things that make you feel good!  When you do this, you are connecting to the best and highest version of yourself.  It’s who you truly are.

Prioritize feeling good each and every day.

This one is pretty simple, and definitely speaks for itself. The things that bring light into your life shouldn’t be done for a reason or an end goal. Do because you love, and follow what you love without knowing where it will lead you.

Know you deserve it, simply because you do.

This is the time to forget all the “shoulds” and the expectations and the self-doubt and the overthinking. Forget them ALL. The things you LOVE are the things that are MEANT FOR YOU!  They are in your life for a reason.

Join me next week for the Finding Your Light Challenge (it’s not really a challenge, it’s fun – promise)!

Until then, keep shining…
